Skincare Routine 2020

And we’re back, y’all! Here is last year’s Skincare Routine, if you missed it! Keep in mind I don’t use all of these products every single day. Lots of these guys are used throughout the week depending on what my skin is going through. Earlier this week I posted about my favorite at home treatments. Click here if you want to give that a read, as well! Let’a dive in to all of these amazing goodies!

Cleanser:

  • Lush Ultrabland: I love this creamy cleanser to melt away all traces of makeup. It’s great as a first cleanse or even just on stubborn eye makeup.

  • Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser: This cleanser is gentle enough to use around the eye area and lip area to get off any left over makeup. I love the soft milky consistency that leaves your skin feeling baby butt soft but not oily. It’s amazing for day or night. It’s never not in my routine!

Toner/Treatment:

  • Heritage Store Rose Water Spray: This toner is filled with lovely natural ingredients! Smells delicious and works wonders. Super cheap and really effective!

  • Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra Fine Mist: This facial mist is really fancy, I know. Hear me out, though. My skin drinks this facial spray up. It’s filled with Hyaluronic acid, which you will learn that I LOVE. The mist on this guy is spectacular, might I add.

  • Glossier Solution: A holy grail product. A product I cannot live without. Solution has BHAs, AHAs, PHAs, and salicylic acid to rid your face of unwanted dead skin and reveal much smoother and brighter skin. I don’t use this product daily. I typically use this every other day in the morning. This is the best before makeup. Everything sits much better when you don’t have any build up!

Serum/Facial Oil:

  • Pure Jojoba Oil: Such an underrated oil to use. I typically use this to hug my other serums and create a cocktail for my dry skin. I have even used jojoba oil to remove stubborn makeup too! Very versatile and ultra hydrating. Jojoba oil mimics the skin’s natural oil it produces so it is great for all skin types.

  • Drunk Elephant B-Hydra: I love me some hyaluronic acid. This product is very gel like, so I often use it in combination with another oil to create a cocktail. This also has pineapple in it to help improve your skin’s texture and tone over time.

  • The Ordinary 100% Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil: I love this stuff so much that it hurts. If you are looking for a facial oil that gives you a gleam that can be seen from heaven, look no further. As opposed to other oils from The Ordinary, this one is extremely lightweight even though it packs a huge punch. I prefer this serum at night so my dry skin can soak up all of those magical hydrating ingredients. I always wake up dewy af.

  • The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid + B5: Take a shot every time I talk about how much I love hyaluronic acid. This serum is amazing in the morning. It leaves a slightly tacky feeling on the skin which is perfect for before makeup.

  • The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: Every person with hormonal acne and large pores please raise your hand! I tend to use this serum only on jawline or where my blemishes are on my face. I like to stick to the more hydrating ingredients for all over and target this serum right where I need it

Moisturizer:

  • Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich: Another product that is intensely hydrating and perfect for prolonging the wear of makeup. This is normally strictly a morning moisturizer for me. I love something more rich for the evening.

  • Weleda Skin Food Rich and Light: If all of these products disappeared, I’d repurchase this one first. This moisturizer gives you juicy, glowing, and hydrated skin in seconds and lasts all day! So versatile because you can use this on your cuticles, elbows, knees, anywhere really!

SPF:

  • Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer SPF 30: This SPF is like the never ending bottle of sunscreen. I also love how lightweight it is. Most of the time my skin just hates sunscreen. I continue to wear it because who wants sun damage? Not me! This one mixes well with my favorite moisturizers and also works well under makeup. Great price for the amount of product you get, as well!

Spot Treatment:

  • Cosrx Acne Master Patch: All acne sufferers, let me introduce you to your new best friend. If you’ve never use a pimple patch, this one is my personal favorite. You can’t beat the price! It is filled with an ingredient called hydrocolloid which is amazing at sucking up all the junk inside of a pimple! I pop one of these on before bed and wake up and the pimple is a lot less red and less inflamed.

  • Doterra HD Clear Spot Treatment: I know some folks have feelings about essential oils on the skin. My skin personally responds fine. I love this oil because of the blend of anti bacterial ingredients. I love to use this spot treatment during the day on any stubborn pimples.

Lip Care:

  • Jack Black Lip Balm: I’ve been using this fabulous lip balm for years my favorite flavor is natural mint. It is so refreshing on the lips. All of the Shea butter goes in and deeply hydrated chapped lips. This is always a staple in my routine.

  • Weleda Skin Food Lip Butter: This is a newer addition to my skincare routine. Similar to their traditional Skin Food formula, but ultra glossy and hydrating. This is my favorite lip balm to carry with me at work or when I am out an about because it delivers high shine with tons of moisture.

  • Glossier Balm Dot Com: Such a classic. My favorite flavor is rose because I’m basic and am desperately trying to replace my beloved Dior Creme de Rose lip balm. May she rest in piece. This lip balm is a handbag and desk staple for me.
