Digital Diary // How I Am Dealing With The Stress of the World
We all know the world is sorta going up in flames right now. I would be extremely selfish if I didn’t use my platform to spread some good. Going to self quarantine the next few days before I have to go back to work. Here is what I am doing to keep my mental health in check and the stress levels down from home.
All of the dog snuggles: I am a mom to three beautiful fur-babies. These three little guys have been amazing at keeping my anxiety down. Make sure to follow them on Instagram for some extra cuteness on your feed.
Diffusing healing essential oils: I have been using Doterra’s On Guard Oil and Serenity Oil more than I normally do lately. On Guard in their Protective Blend and Serenity in their Restful Blend. Both of which are things that we all could use a lot more of right now. We have been diffusing these non-stop.
Journaling and Planning: I’ve been jotting down my feelings and general to do lists inside my Leuchtturm1917 Journal. General planning for my life is still being done inside my Erin Condren Life Planner. Taking the time to write down things is always amazing for my mental health. It’s always a huge stress reliever for me.
Taking care of my skin: Using lots of face masks and really hydrating serums to keep my skin as glowy and clear as possible. Sometimes when you are couped up at home, forgetting your skincare routine is really easy to do. I’ve been making sure to carve out the time to really treat my skin. I plan on posting an updated skincare routine here in the next few weeks. Here is my most recent one!
ASMR Videos: Little known fact: I can’t sleep without listening to some ASMR. Some of my favorite folks to watch are Whispers Red, Jocie B ASMR, and Tena ASMR. All three of these lovely ladies are always in rotation either at bedtime, naptime, or when I need to pull myself out of an anxiety attack.
Writing Blog Content: Being couped up has my brain feeling overwhlemed, but also inspired. There are so many things I’ve been wanting to post about, but haven’t found the time.
Lots of bubble baths: To help ease anxiety I have been using a lot of comforting scents in my bath. I’ve used Lush’s Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar and Rose Jam Bubbleroon several times to help keep the anxiety at bay.
Comfy clothes to relax in: I have been living in my Fabletics Zaylee Tunic and my Fabletics Natalie Joggers. These comfies have been essential when I am just relaxing on the couch with the dogs. I never feel confined inside Fabletics clothing!
Catching up on TV: We currently subscribe to both Netflix and Disney+ in our home. Together James and I have been watching How To Get Away With Murder before it comes back next month. And when I’ve been taking my baths I’ve been watching The High School Musical Series on Disney+. I am obsessed!
Taking care of my hands: Since we are all hand-washing a ton more than normal, I’ve been trying to take the time to put lotion and cuticle butter on before bed every night to keep my hands in tip top shape.
