A Letter To All The Characters I Played in 2017

Four shows in ten months. Yeah, I know I’m a little insane. However, I’ve been honored to play so many strong women this year. Characters who have all taught me valuable life lessons I wouldn’t ever have learned otherwise.

I’m so grateful for all of the voice lessons my incredible coach provided for me this year. He is absolutely incredible and I wouldn’t be standing where I am today if it hadn’t been for his guidance. Thank you for everything, Mark! And here’s to an even better 2018! (Here’s a snapshot that was taken of me at a Mama’s Party in Grand Prairie early in the year.)

“Shy” - The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

Thank you “Shy” for teaching me that it is always okay to step out of my comfort zone and embrace my femininity.

“Dorothy” - The Wizard of Oz

Thank you “Dorothy” for teaching me that it is always amazing to take a step back and remember the good times. It was an absolute honor to be apart of an all-female cast of The Wizard of Oz. I met some amazing ladies and lifelong friends during this production.

“Evil League Of Evil Member” - Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog Adaptation

Thank you to “Dr. Horrible” for teaching me that being on the evil side is just as fun as being a hero.

“Wednesday Addams” - The Addams Family Musical

And lastly, thank you “Wednesday” for teaching me how to overcome the impossible and teaching me that I can do absolutely anything that I want to do. I’ve already written a post specifically dedicated to Wednesday where I got super sappy. I feel so honored and grateful every day to have been able to perform my dream role.

Thank you 2017 for all these amazing roles. Here’s to 2018!
